Born and raised in Hong Kong, I am an avid fitness fanatic. As a kid, I have earned many nicknames throughout the years, such as stickman, flagpole and chopsticks (just to name a few). I was scrawny and weak, and I never excelled at sports. I did well in short-distance sprinting and swimming but never did well in team sports, and the only time I enjoyed my P.E. lessons was when we were doing weight training sessions.
So What happened?
Learning weight training from my P.E. teacher and reading Arnold Schwarzenegger’s autobiography (“The Education of a Bodybuilder”) really started to get me interested in weight training, but it wasn’t until 3 years ago when I made up my mind and decided to transform my physique. Little did I know, I also transformed my life. I trained hard and made sure I ate up and slept enough. After about a year or so, I looked at the pictures that I have taken before the transformation, and compared to what I see in the mirror. It was at that time when it really hit me – I have made a heck of a journey! I started getting compliments from my family and friends, and I also felt more confident and perhaps most importantly, I felt more alive, fitter and healthier.
Pursuing a fit and healthy way of living is truly a life-changing experience. I encourage anyone who is up for the challenge to start today.
